About Me:

Hi, my name is Sue and my journey to becoming a Bowen Therapist has not been a straight line. I started studying a Diploma of Applied Science in Wilderness Reserves and Wildlife at UQ when I was 19. I found that I was not destined to be a wildlife ranger, from university I went to work at a distribution center where I went from filling orders to office manager in a few years. All the time not feeling as though I had not found where I belonged. At 27 I married and had a baby. When I was looking for work in the years that followed, I found employment at a telecommunications company where I discovered I enjoyed helping people far more than I did selling phones.

I began my training at the beginning of the 2015 and have completed my Certificate IV. As soon as I completed my Certificate, I started my Diploma and completed this in 2018. After the completion of my Diploma, I decided to expand my knowledge and learnt from Alistair McLoughlin a visiting therapist from the U.K. Then proceed to develop my technique further by studying with Graham Pennington, John Garfield and Ron Phelan.

I love being able to help my child in a way that was not possible to me before. Children on the spectrum struggle in many different ways and if I am able to make the smallest amount of difference by helping them feel relaxed, I believe I am on the right path.

I believe that being able to help people whether they are struggling with physical pain or emotional stress is the greatest gifts that someone can be given. I am lucky enough to have found a therapy that works for me. After the first lesson I came home ecstatic that I had found my "thing" it just clicked. I love what I do.

I have had many clients since beginning my journey of being a Bowen Therapist. Bowen is such a wonderful therapy and I feel privileged to have seen the results on many of my clients from issues Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Frozen Shoulder, Sciatica, Lumbar Pain, Unexplained Groin Pain, Knee Pain, Headaches and Sinus to name a few.

I work from my home in North Lakes. North Brisbane and love helping people overcome pain with this gentle therapy.
